Artist Statement

The illustrations were created by children living in San Luis Obispo, CA. The illustrators were given no directions other than to draw how they each envisioned peace. My hope was for each child to find the peace that comes naturally within, and somehow make their vision tangible –

The words are by Cat Stevens, however the music I hear in my head is performed by Natalie Merchant.
