Your support enriches our cultural history by providing our community with access to primary source materials for research, education, and discovery. Special Collections offers visitors the chance to view manuscripts, artists’ books, architecture collections, and other interesting pieces of history. Collections include the papers of architects Julia Morgan and William F. Cody, San Luis Obispo regional history, and San Luis Obispo Environmental Archives.

Housed within Special Collections, are the University Archives, the campus repository for the historical papers of Cal Poly’s administration, faculty, staff, and students. This program offers a rich source for historical research and supports current administrative needs.
