Man in the Stacks – What are you reading?

I’m liberated from the Library till after Labor Day, but I buttonholed a few readers on my way out the door. Here’s what I found out:

Marya — Library

I’m reading No One Belongs Here More than You, a collection of short stories by filmmaker/performance artist Miranda July.

Here’s a Tony Dushane interview from Bookslut discussing the book and her 2005 film Me and You and Everyone We Know.

Helen — Library

I should be reading All over Creation by Ruth Ozeki, which will be the Preface selection for this fall. (For information on Preface, click here). Instead, I’m reading both Integrating Islam: political and religious challenges in contemporary France by Jonathan Laurence and Justin Vaisse, and This Little Piggy Went to Prada: Nursery Rhymes for the Blahnik Brigade, by Amy Allen, Eun-Kyung Kang (Illustrator).

Shannon — student

I’m reading Dragons of the Dwarven Depths, by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman — at least I will be as soon as I finish volume 8. (Note from Jan: I’m guessing she’s finished both of them by now — this woman reads FAST.)
