Journal locations (Shelf maps)

The library provides access to over 50,000 electronic journals.

We continue to receive some print journals and the latest issues of these are shelved alphabetically by title in Room 111.

Current (unbound) issues do not circulate. Once they are bound, periodical volumes can be checked out for 4 days.

Journals on microform

For some titles, the Library has retained older issues on microfilm or microfiche.


If the volume you are looking for is listed in PolyCat as “MICROFILM” (under “holdings”) it is shelved in a storage area in the Library.  Please request the volume you need at the Research Help Desk in Room 111.

How to view

Microfilm and microfiche can be viewed on special machines in Room 111. Images of pages may be viewed, printed or scanned.
