To get a Kennedy Library Card

To register for Library privileges, bring your Alumni Association card to the Circulation Desk.

Interlibrary Loan Privileges

Alumni membership includes up to twelve interlibrary loan transactions per year. Please see About Interlibrary Services for more information.

Extended Reference Assistance

Basic library assistance is available to all for free. Kennedy Library also offers professional library reference assistance for people with more difficult or involved reference questions. $50 per hour. Contact the Research Help Desk at (805) 756-2649 for more information about reference assistance.

Access to electronic resources off campus is not included in Alumni Association Library privileges. Off-campus access is restricted by contracts and licenses to current students, faculty, and staff at Cal Poly. However, alumni are welcome to use these resources whenever visiting the Library.

Borrowing materials

Current members of the Cal Poly Alumni Association have borrowing privileges at Kennedy Library. See the Borrowing pages for more information.

Managing your account

Use PolyCat, our online catalog, to renew books and check your account status

  1. Select My Account from any PolyCat web session
  2. Use your last name and Library Card Barcode to log in
  3. Once in your record, choose the option you would like to view checked out books, reading history, requested materials, and more
