Data Studio Open House: Pioneering the Data Frontier
The Data Studio at Kennedy Library (111C) will host an open house on Friday, May 3rd from 9-11:30am. The event includes a talk from 10-11am, Pioneering in the Data Frontier: Discovering the World Anew by Melissa Cragin, AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow in residence at the National Science Foundation, serving in the Office of the Assistant Director of the Directorate for Biological Sciences. Cragin will explore the idea that big data and data science will lead to stronger economies and new solutions for global problems, as well as the risks of big data’s presence in our daily lives. Immediately before and after Cragin’ talk, students will present their work with data. All are welcome and refreshments will be served.
