Campus-wide access to The Chronicle of Higher Education
November 30, 2011—Cal Poly faculty, staff and students now have full access to The Chronicle of Higher Education and The Chronicle of Philanthropy through a campus-wide subscription secured by the Kennedy Library.
Wider access benefits Cal Poly
In addition to saving money for faculty, staff and departments who choose to discontinue their individual subscriptions, the new campus subscription ensures that all Cal Poly faculty and staff have access to important national news and issues in higher education.
The online edition includes links to videos and podcasts on current topics in higher education, as well as interactive tools to assist with career searches, and reviews and lists of best selling books on campuses.
Value of Cal Poly community access
“Higher education is in an amazing period of transformation and The Chronicle is a dynamic and essential resource for anyone seeking to understand and help shape its present and its future,” said University Librarian Anna Gold. “We’re pleased that everyone at Cal Poly now has access to these national conversations and opportunities.”
Cal Poly affiliates using campus computers will have full access to The Chronicle‘s premium content, in addition to convenient access online from home or anywhere in the world after logging on to the Cal Poly Portal or by using our convenient “bookmarklet” to reload premium content through the Portal.
