Research Planning 101: A New Library Tutorial for Fall

Research PlanningStarting this fall, Cal Poly faculty can use a new online tutorial to help introduce students to the research process. “Research Planning 101” was created by Cal Poly librarians to help students become aware of the major steps involved in research: from framing a researchable question, to finding authoritative information, to using and citing the resources they find.

During Fall Quarter 2009 librarians will be working closely with selected faculty in GE courses to introduce and assess the tutorial with first year students. Faculty are welcome to link to this resource from their course web pages or Blackboard sites, and to contact their College Librarian for more information or ideas on how to use this and other Library tutorials.
