This is the end (episode 12)

This is episode 12 of 12.

The 30th anniversary of Banned Books Week is over.  Together Kristen and I have read over 120 books from ALA’s Top 100 Banned/Challenged Books 2000-2009 (those darn series again!) and created 12 podcasts about them.  That’s in addition to all the fun stuff we’ve done on our campus this year (check out our Banned Books Week hub, for old times sake).  In this final episode “This is the End” Kristen and I talk about the books we loved, the ones we hated, some stories that caught our attention but had to be cut from other episodes, and other fun gems.

This was a great personal and professional challenge and I highly encourage you all to find a way in the coming year to really celebrate the first amendment, our freedom to read, and all the great (and not-so-great) literature that is out there.

The End.
