Journal Locations (Shelf Maps)

Most of the journals the Library gets are received online. However, about 900 journals and magazines are received in print. Issues in all subjects are shelved for easy browsing on the first floor in Room 111. They are arranged by Library of Congress classification (call number). If the volume you are looking for isn't listed in PolyCat as either BOUND or Microfilm, it is kept in Current Periodicals. After about a year, issues are bound and placed under their call numbers in the main Library stacks.

Current (unbound) issues do not circulate. Once they are bound, periodical volumes can be checked out for 4 days.
