Digital Archiving Services

Robert E. Kennedy Library provides digital services to assist the campus community with the publication, sharing and preservation of research and campus history. We can assess your needs, provide guidance on your rights, and make referrals to appropriate digital services.

DigitalCommons@CalPoly promotes discovery, research, cross-disciplinary collaboration and instruction by collecting, preserving and providing access to scholarly work created at Cal Poly. The repository also provides access to relevant documents created by administrative offices, departments and programs at Cal Poly. Members of the Cal Poly academic community are invited to contribute completed scholarship for long-term preservation and worldwide electronic accessibility through the DigitalCommons.

Digital publishing services include consultation and hosting of faculty and student online journals and conference archive support.

Journal and Newsletter support
The Library can provide support for an existing journal or campus publication and help faculty, staff or students host a new journal or publication using journal hosting software (Bepress) with built-in editorial management and peer-review tools.
Some of our current publications include:
Focus, a peer-reviewed journal from the department of City and Regional Planning
Between the Species, a peer-reviewed journal from the department of Philosophy
Symposium, a peer-reviewed student journal from the College of Science and Math
Conference support
The Library can provide an online paper submission and trusted digital archive to display presentations and papers at Cal Poly-hosted conferences or symposia.
