We’ll begin our conversation with the author, who will talk informally about his process researching and writing the book. Then Den Otter and special guest Jude Egan will explore constitutional theory, public reason and other related topics, leaving time at the end for Q&A with the audience.
About the author
Ronald Den Otter is an associate professor in political science at the College of Liberal Arts at Cal Poly. He earned his Ph.D. at UCLA and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a pre-law advisor.
Ron’s research interests include constitutional theory, normative political theory, ethics, and deliberative democracy.
Special guest
Jude Egan is an assistant professor in political science at Cal Poly. He has a Ph.D. in jurisprudence and social policy and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
His interests include public law, public policy, regulatory policy, science and technology policy. Jude is also a pre-law advisor.
