Free Online Training for Cal Poly GIS users
Faculty, staff, and students at Cal Poly may enroll for free classes in GIS offered online through the ESRI Virtual Campus. This benefit is part of the ESRI site license obtained through the California State University Geographic Information Systems Specialty Center.
» CSU GIS Specialty Center.
The Virtual Campus courses consist of self-paced, Web-based GIS instruction modules for ESRI’s GIS software titles and related topics such as Visual Basic.
To see the courses available to the Cal Poly community, visit the ESRI Training and Education subscriptions page and choose "Standard License Courses."
Cal Poly faculty, staff and currently enrolled students can use the ESRI form to request a class registration code.
Introduce your class to GIS
Kennedy Library also invites faculty to bring their classes to the Library for a hands-on introduction to GIS. Students learn how to use GIS for their major, and how to sign in and get started on one of the online ESRI Virtual Campus classes.
