“Douglas Gale, a consultant who spent most of his career as a college technology leader, has been working since 2003 to collect oral histories and artifacts from the inventors of the Internet. And now he’s working to get the collection out of his garage and into a museum or other formal setting.” Currently Gale’s project is called the Internet History Archive, but he hopes to receive grant funding and other support to move the project forward into formalized museum territory. No doubt that he’ll have a plethora of artifacts to display, particularly since Moore’s Law suggests tech refresh occurs about every 18 months.
