“Sometime next month, Cornell University librarian and filmmaker Kaila Bussert hopes to premier her latest masterpiece, tentatively, entitled Finding Books in the Stacks. And while her latest short video may not win any film festival prizes, Bussert and fellow librarians at Cornell are earning raves for their work creating a series of library instruction videos and posting them on popular online video service YouTube.

“I think it is important,” Bussert, special projects librarian, collections, reference, instruction, and outreach at Cornell’s Olin Library, told the LJ Academic Newswire. “We still get a lot of good questions at the reference desk, but traffic just isn’t the same. We need to find ways to reach students.”–[More at Library Journal, Academic Newswire]
