Lifehacker validates what I’ve long believed: doodling can help you focus better while other people are talking.
It does note that by “doodle” it does not mean elaborate drawings. Instead, it means repetitive or inconsequential patterns.
This is totally my experience. When I want to really focus on something — especially a lecture or a long talk — doodling helps me really focus in on and remember what is being said.
