Now this is brilliant: a way to skim articles in the New York Times online.
I mostly like typical online newspaper layouts (case in point: LA Times, Wall Street Journal, NY Times). Sure, they are busy, but mostly they are well organized. However, I deeply missed the easy-to-browse aspect that makes print editions so delicious and wonderful.
Now I think the NYT just struck gold with their Article Skimmer view. I’ve only just seen it today and it is safe to say that I. Am. Inlovewithit. It’s so simple and brilliant; definitely one of those things that will leave me scratching my head saying “Of course! It was so obvious that this was the solution. Why hasn’t this been done already?”
I hope other newspapers will follow suit ASAP.
