- 1.5 hour
- whatever the upper quartile is of the average checkout time
- 90min.
- It should stay that way; becuase it should be a fair amount and 2 hours is above the 1hour which is too short. Students still have the computer lab to use if not.
- I can barely begin my thought process within the current 2 hour limit. But I usually only check them out if the labs are full; so two hours is sufficient to get me over the hump.
- I guess the 2 hr. limit is still good because I can still renew the laptop right? If there are no people wating?
- 72 hours
- Even if shortened; anything less than 90 min would be nearly useless as most projects take a little while to "get started".
- The batteries are always dying.
- 60 minutes
- 90 minutes
- It should depend on the time/demand for how many laptops are needed
- 1.5; but allow people to check it out again if there is no one waiting or they're working on an important paper. Or hold a fundraiser for more laptops!
- It is a good amount of time as it is.
- 1.5hrs
- an extra hour. How about another computer lab? Or not so many classes in the current labs?
- I'd say that a limit of 3 hours would be appropriate if the laptop was being used to watch a DVD. Most films that would need to be viewed for scholarly reasons are not longer than 3 hours but many are longer than two.
- Two hours is fine; plus; I don't think that you should be studying for two hours straight anyways; you need to do something to break it up.
- 4 hours
- 4- Hour Incremints
- 2 hours is good.
- it works well
- 60 minutes
- 180 minutes
- 180 minutes
- you can't get much done on a computer in under 2 hours. The first 30 is spend email and surfing; facebook to "warm up" anyway.
- I think 4 hours would give a better amount of time to work.
- Can't comment; never checkout laptops
- 5 hours
- allow variable checkout times and people to pre-reserve. People can see how "busy" laptops are at times they need. This may be a neat project for a stats/cs student!
- I always bring my own laptop and when I don't I use the open compute labs.
- 3 hr
- 90 minutes
- as long as you need it
- I personally have no opinion toward this because I have my own laptop.
- If someone needs more than 2 hours with a laptop then they should use the normal computer labs. There is nothing special about the laptops that would warrant longer use.
- I think 2 hours is a good time limit. Most people have their own laptops anyways. Maybe there could be exceptions for project use.
- I just wish the battery would actually last for the 2 hours. My battery only lasted me 45 minutes.
- 4 hours. 2 hours is barely enough time to really get going on a project.
- 150 minutes
- A desired length; but under a day.
- Two hours is a good time - plus you can use a regular computer in the library for any length of time you want
- 3 hours
- If there is a budget issue; I think that keeping the consistency of the 2 hour time limit is suitable. Changing the checkout time limits would only be an additional stress to for people to deal with besides the budget problems.
- 1 hour
- 4 hours
- We should get more laptops since the time is extended
- 240 mintues
- 4 hours = this is how long the batteries last
- I usually bring my lab top to the library anyway so I don't ever use the service
- 1.5 hrs
