The Robert E. Kennedy Library is open to all at stated hours
- The main Library is open to anyone during open hours for activities related to study and learning.
- The 24-Hour Study Room is open only to individuals with Cal Poly ID cards when the main Library is closed.
- Users are expected to comply with our policies on the use of the Library.
Print collections may be borrowed by:
- Cal Poly faculty, students, staff, administrators, and emeriti faculty and staff;
- Cal Poly Alumni Association members;
- CSU faculty from other campuses; and
- Library courtesy card holders.
Persons unaffiliated with Cal Poly may purchase an annual community borrower card to borrow physical materials and place a limited number of interlibrary loan requests.
Remote access to electronic resources is generally limited by licensing agreements to students and faculty only. On-site access for others is provided as licensing permits. Members of the Cal Poly community must make reasonable and good faith efforts to comply with the terms of these agreements. In using licensed electronic resources, users are asked to:
- limit uses to non-commercial, educational, or personal research purposes;
- not facilitate unauthorized access by others (i.e. do not share your network user name and password).
