The Circulation and Course Reserves unit assists library users with borrowing books, media, and course reserves.
The Interlibrary Services Unit is responsible for delivering tens of thousands of books and articles to Cal Poly from other libraries. We also lend tens of thousands of books and articles to partner libraries around the world.
The Library's instruction and consultative research programs for Cal Poly students and faculty are provided by College Librarians. The Library's instructional program reaches over 10,000 Cal Poly students every year, using a variety of in-class and online services that meet the needs of individuals as well as student groups. For more information and program details, please read about our Research and Information Skills program.
The library’s Data Services and GIS program encourages and supports the discovery, exploration, creation, and sharing of data via technology, consultation, collaboration, and pedagogy in support of Cal Poly’s mission, programs of learning, and research. Data Services includes GIS, Maps, and Data Management.
A team of librarians, staff, and highly trained student assistants provides research help and reference assistance in person, via email or online chat, and by phone.
