New Associate Dean for Kennedy Library
Kennedy Library welcomes Anna Gold as Associate Dean for Public Services. Anna joins Cal Poly from MIT where she was Head of the Engineering and Science Libraries. Anna also worked at the Library of Congress and UC, San Diego.
Celebrating Black History Month: Snapshots of Equality — A Photographic Exhibition
In honor of Black History Month, the Cal Poly Kennedy Library is presenting the photographic exhibition "Snapshots of Equality" beginning Friday, Feb. 1 through Friday, Feb. 29. The free exhibition, open during regular library hours, is located at the Library Art and Design Gallery on the first floor of the Kennedy Library.

Renovations for Special Collections
The Special Collections and University Archives Department in the Robert E. Kennedy Library will be closed from November 5 through November 16, 2007, for renovations. Limited references services are available during this time by calling 756-2305 or emailing archives@calpoly.edu. Full services will be available again after November 19.
Students asked for expanded library hours and the library listened. Beginning mid-October 2007, the Study Room at Kennedy Library will be open 24 hours per day. The rest of the library has expanded hours, too. Learn more about our new hours.
New Architecture and Environmental Design Librarian at the Kennedy Library
Leanne Hindmarch has accepted the position of Architecture and Environmental Design Librarian at the Kennedy Library. She will be providing support for the research needs of CAED faculty and students and promoting the library's GIS Services.
Improved Course Reserves Services for Fall
Electronic Reserves will be available in Blackboard starting fall quarter, 2007. Faculty will enjoy a new online submission form, increased security for their materials, while students will appreciate access to course readings and homework solutions without having to learn a separate system.
Kennedy Library's online catalog, PolyCat, got a newly designed interface, including streamlined search capabilities and results screens. PolyCat lets you search for materials owned by the library, request items from other libraries, renew books, save searches, create a reading history, and more.
Swiss Architecture Exhibit Coming to Kennedy Library
Bold images of Swiss architectural design will be on display with "Ticinese Architecture in the World: Milestones and Protagonists 1970-2003." September 24 October 12. Opening reception September 24. Read the Cal Poly press release for more information.
