The CSU strategic planning process called "Access to Excellence" has included broad participation by faculty, staff and students at Cal Poly. The University community was divided into seven discussion groups; six were college based.

The seventh group is called "Community Stakeholders" and includes all parts of the University not otherwise affiliated with a college. Community Stakeholders include the following:
