How to Apply for Library Student Assistant Positions Using Mustang Jobs

Step 1. Login to My Cal Poly

The quickest way to reach Mustang Jobs is through your My Cal Poly portal.

Step 2. Enter MustangJOBS through the Single Click Access Channel

For most users the Single Click Access channel should be the first box at the top right corner of the page. This is the same box where you access PASS and registration.

Click on the "GO" button next to "MustangJOBS Career Services" to enter.

Step 3. Upload Documents

The application submission process requires that you submit your resume along with other relevant documents, such as cover letters. These documents must be uploaded to Mustang Jobs through the My Documents page.

The next page shows all the documents you have uploaded previously. Click on the Add New button to reach the upload page.

Fill out the form on the upload page. Be descriptive with the label since you will use it later to identify the documents you will submit with your application. Be sure to choose the document type accordingly as well.

Step 4. Find the Position in the Jobs Section

Click on the Jobs, Internships & OCR Interviews link in the top navigation menu.

In the search box, enter "Kennedy Library" into the Keywords field and press the Enter key or Search button.

Library jobs should be at the top of the search results list. Find the job you want and click on the job title to enter the job description page.

Step 5. Assign Documents and Apply

Review the page and job description to verify that it is the correct position. In the Application Status box on the right, you can choose the required documents to submit based on the labels you entered in Step 3. You may also upload new documents if and only if you have uploaded documents before.

NOTE: If you have not previously uploaded any documents, you will not have any to choose from, and you must go back to Step 3 to upload at least one document before proceeding.

Also pay attention to any special notes in red. These notes usually include special instructions for what to include in some of your documents.

Click on the Submit button to finish the application process.
