Learning Commons Coordinator

Reporting directly to the Director of Library Information Technology, the Learning Commons Coordinator is responsible for all Learning Commons services including computer labs, public printers, collaboration rooms, equipment check out counters, service desks, and support for special events. Reporting to the Coordinator, Learning Commons student support staff are responsible for serving as the first point of contact for patrons requiring technical assistance, as well as general assistance with basic library services. The Learning Commons Coordinator works closely with other Library Information Technology staff (LIT) and library faculty/staff, Cal Poly Information Technology Services (ITS), the Disabilities Resource Center (DRC), the Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL), University Scheduling, and campus faculty, staff, and students.

Student employees are vital to providing Library services. Approximately 100 students are employed by the Library in many different positions and offices.
