Open Education Library Fellow

The Robert E. Kennedy Library at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) in beautiful San Luis Obispo, California, seeks candidates with a commitment to innovation, awareness of current trends and issues in open education, a passion for teaching, and strong interpersonal and technical skills to shape the direction and implementation of the library's pilot program in open education. This position will develop programs, processes, and services that facilitate the compilation and dissemination of open educational resources and open content.

Library Services Specialist II - Interlibrary Services

Access Services comprises the circulation, document delivery and interlibrary loan, and course reserves functions of the Library. Under general supervision, this position contributes to the fulfillment of the interlibrary services functions of this unit, as well as contributing to the overall services and programs of Access Services and the Library. Primary activities of this position include handling borrowing and/or lending requests for library materials from patrons; retrieving and processing requests through various joint resource sharing systems and cooperative efforts with other libraries; verifying eligibility of requests; verifying bibliographic information and conducting bibliographic searches related to requests; troubleshooting problem requests; compiling and analyzing borrowing and lending statistics; and following-up on overdue materials and recalls.
