Kennedy Library Unveils Electronic Senior Project Submission for Fall 2009
The Robert E. Kennedy Library announces the implementation of electronic senior project submission, beginning September 22, 2009. This marks a shift away from the previous paper-based submission process and is expected to increase the availability and visibility of original scholarship by Cal Poly undergraduate students.
» Additional information on electronic senior projects.
Electronic senior project submission follows in the footsteps of successful implementation of electronic master's theses in Fall 2008. All Cal Poly master's theses submitted to the Library are now digitally archived through the same submission process.
The new system allows undergraduate students to upload his or her advisor-approved senior project into the DigitalCommons@CalPoly, where it is automatically archived by the Library. Once the document is archived, it can be made available to anyone with Internet access and the digital item is expedited for bibliographic access in the library's online catalog.
Walk-in information sessions will be held regularly throughout Fall 2009 to demo the submission process to campus. All are encouraged to attend.
