About
Are you involved in developing an institutional repository for your campus? Would you like to learn how others are addressing policy, copyright, content, and outreach issues? Join us for a day-long colloquium that focuses on the challenges and successes of planning, creating and maintaining an academic institutional repository. Topics to be addressed include:
- Faculty and administration perspectives on the public value of IRs
- Rights management and working with publishers
- Documentation, policies, procedures and workflows
- Outreach and partnering with faculty and students
- Collecting content and populating the repository
- Lessons learned from IR planning and implementation

Lodging Information
There are several options for lodging near the Cal Poly campus. Be sure to make reservations early, as room rates and availability are seasonal and will vary.
Transportation and Parking Information
Located just south of the City of San Luis Obispo, the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport offers convenient access to and from the Central Coast.
The colloquium will be held on the Cal Poly campus. Get a map of the campus or driving directions.
To park on campus, reserve a parking pass on your registration form. The morning of the event, a pass will be waiting in your name at the Visitor's Information Center, which is located just north of the Grand Avenue and Slack Street intersection. You should park in Parking Structure 130, located off of Grande Avenue. The colloquium will be held in Building 112 (formerly Vista Grande Cafe).
